About Milan
Based in Washington, D.C., Milan Savage is a self-taught visual artist with a passion for storytelling through the lens. Her journey began in 2010 when she received a Nikon D300 as a gift, igniting her love for capturing life’s moments.
Milan’s artistic foundation was shaped during her three years at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where she focused on vocal music while showcasing her talents in photography.
In 2018, Milan joined Genesislevel Integrated Marketing & Modeling as a photographer, swiftly rising to Director of Fresh Face. She honed her craft under the mentorship of Kenny “Kas” Flanagan, a celebrated couture designer and celebrity wardrobe stylist, deepening her expertise in wardrobe styling.
As an Administrative Assistant at Thee Hair Vault in 2021, Milan further expanded her creative portfolio by producing daily social media content and email marketing campaigns that drove significant growth in digital analytics.
Continuing her career in entertainment, she gained valuable experience at Bethesda Theater in 2023, where she assisted with artist relations for notable performers such as B5, Ruben Studdard, El DeBarge, WAR, Stokley, Deborah Cox, Too $hort, and many others.

Developing an interest in documentary filmmaking from a young age, Milan discovered a fervor for the world of cinema and persisted in pursuing her aspirations in cinematography.
